Maya Hunter has always loved writhing. As a child, her favorite subject was literature, and she was forever walking around with her little poetry notebook.

And when she discovered the romantic romances genre, she fell in love with it. But as much as she liked reading them, she had the feeling I could do it too—in her own style. It took her a while but eventually she started a blog for short stories (about a page or two long each), and the reactions she received from readers encouraged her to take a shot at something bigger. She hopes Downhill Rush will be as fun to read as it was to write.
